Bethany Brittain
Bethany’s love for dance started in 1996 right here at TJ Dance Studio! What began with ballet, jazz, and tap quickly grew into a lifelong passion for hip hop, lyrical, jazz, tap, and country line dance.
TJ Dance created the foundation for everything she does today – she didn’t miss a single year of dancing, all the way to performing her senior routine at 18 at the annual recital. She went on to train at Kirkland Dance Center, perform with Eastside Moving Company while attending Bellevue College, tryout with the Seahawks Seagals and continue studying as many styles as she could get her feet into.
Bethany began teaching at TJ Dance her senior year of high school in 2008 and later became a youth and adult instructor at Kirkland Dance Center. She loves teaching both kids and adults – she says both bring so much fun, energy, and diversity to the studio.
In 2017, Bethany started the Country Line Dance classes at TJ Dance, which has since grown into a full line dance family! She is the co-creator of TJ Dance’s line dance troupe, the Riverside Stompers, with Ileah O’Neil.
Now celebrating 30 years of dancing and 17+ years of teaching, Bethany also teaches Lyrical, Jazz, and Hip Hop and loves to sub for any class where she’s needed.
She was raised on TJ Dance’s motto that everyone can dance – and she still stands by it wholeheartedly. Her classes are all about joy, confidence, community, and sharing the love of dance with all ages.
When she’s not in the studio, Bethany is busy on her hobby farm with her three kiddos and soaking up time with friends and family.
